Automatically entering today's date when creating a transaction

To enter today's date, press the "t" key while in the date field for the new transaction. That sets the date back to the current day.   Other helpful date related keyboard shortcuts are:

+ or = Advance or “spin” the date forward

- or _ “spin” the date backward

t Select the current date

m Select the first day in the month

h Select the last day in the month

y Select the first day in the year

r Select the last day in the year
